Planview Named a Leader in 2012 Integrated IT Portfolio Analysis Magic Quadrant

Austin, TX — December 6, 2012 — Planview®, the leader in enterprise-wide portfolio management, announced today the company has been recognized in the Leaders Quadrant of the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Integrated IT Portfolio Analysis Applications, published November 28 by Daniel B. Stang and Jim Duggan.

Gartner named Planview to the Leaders Quadrant based on the company's completeness of vision and ability to execute strategically.

The integrated IT portfolio analysis (IIPA) market evaluates vendors providing the integration of individual portfolios for investments, projects, assets and IT services. In the report Gartner states, "The IIPA software market helps IT managers link, monitor and analyze their activities within a singular portfolio. This provides CIOs and other executives with holistic information about the IT portfolio when making difficult decisions and determining the state of their strategies."¹

Along with Planview's placement as a leader in the Magic Quadrant, the company is evaluated in the 2012 Gartner MarketScope for Project and Portfolio Management Applications, June 25, also by Stang. In the report, Planview is given an overall market rating of "strong positive."²

"The use of portfolio management continues to expand, helping organizations better prioritize and manage their limited resources," says Patrick Tickle, executive vice president of products at Planview. "For CIOs and IT leaders, moving beyond the project portfolio to embrace integrated planning across the project, service and application portfolio represents a major step forward in IT management."
