Planview's PPM integration solution for IBM’s Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM) solution has been validated as 'Ready for Rational Software'
Austin, TX — June 6, 2011 — Planview® today announced that Planview Enterprise®, its market-leading project portfolio management (PPM) application, now integrates directly with IBM® Rational Team Concert®. Planview's PPM integration solution for IBM's Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM) solution, provides customers with a powerful option for coordinating project and program management with software development work.
Planview's connectivity has been validated as 'Ready for Rational Software', which means Planview's PPM enterprise solutions are positioned to integrate approved projects with Rational Team Concert's agile software development planning capabilities. The solution can enhance business results through enterprise-wide resource planning, enhanced team communication and development predictability.
"We are really excited to have completed the validation process for Rational Team Concert. We are increasingly hearing from our customers the importance of connecting operational planning and agile development processes. This integration allows project and product managers to easily collaborate with their development teams while continuing to work in the application with which they are most familiar," said Patrick Tickle, executive vice president of products, Planview.
With the new validated PPM integration, a consolidated view will allow organizations to better understand and manage all types of projects. Developers will have one centralized access point to all assigned projects, optimizing utilization of resources and eliminating wasted time. Management can more accurately plan and monitor project execution.
"Allowing customers to maximize their PPM solutions is important to the Rational Team Concert community. The integration with Planview's solution allows these customers to take advantage of their growing needs," said Michael Loria, vice president, IBM Rational Business Development.
